This is an application that helps you store mail addresses, email addresses, web sites, phone numbers, photographs, etc.
Staxofax allows you to keep, use, and backup a lot of information that you may have scattered all over in different files. All these mail addresses, email addresses, web sites, phone numbers, photographs, notes, screen shots, graphics and text items can easily get lost. One particular situation is when the associated application is changed. If there’s a failure in the disks or the machine happens, then too you can lose track of these items. This application can help you locate these pieces of information easily. For example, if a web address is saved, it becomes a direct link (URL) for the site working as a bookmark for the site. The site will be reached despite whatever browser is your default.
Selecting a mail address will launch the default email client. So it is never a problem if the browser, email client or any other application got changed. Selecting a phone number, in a similar vein, will dial out the number via a phone dialer. The interface makes it all very simple. Items are listed with the corresponding details on the right hand part of the interface screen. As you mouse over these items, you get to see a preview of the item in a preview screen on the right of the main interface display. It would be really nice to have such a thing with a completely updated database. Now, that really is the problem as with any database based applications. You have to add the information initially to the application. This is a nice and handy tool really. There’s a portable version too, that lets you carry all the info with you anywhere you go.
